Needs

Below is a list of current donation needs. We keep this list up to date, so always check back to see how you can help.

We are deeply grateful for every donation, as our work is entirely supported by generous individuals like you - without government funding. To help us serve our community most effectively, we kindly ask that you review our current donation needs before giving items or materials. This ensures your generosity has the greatest impact. Please also contact us in advance to coordinate drop-off and confirm what you plan to bring.

[Please Note: We cannot accept used clothing or bedding items.]

Things we always need:

We provide our residents with new clothing and essential gear to support their personal growth and professional development. Because of our limited cleaning capacity, we can only accept brand-new apparel, with a specific focus on small and medium workwear, coats, and socks. Practical items like bath towels, shower shoes, and current planners are also fundamental to our residents' daily success. Finally, prepaid Visa gift cards are an invaluable resource, helping individuals pay for vital necessities like bus fare and new identification.

Resident Programs

Daily Operations

Our facility stays efficient through the consistent donation of paper goods, administrative supplies, and heavy-duty cleaning products. We currently have a high demand for US Forever postage stamps and assorted Sharpies to keep our office functions running effectively. For sanitation, we ask for HE (High Efficiency) laundry detergent and cleaners like Fabuloso or concentrated Lysol to ensure a healthy space for everyone. We also require large trash bags in 13, 33, and 55-gallon sizes to manage our daily maintenance needs.

If you’re looking for a convenient way to support our mission from home, our Amazon Wish Lists provide a direct way to purchase specific items we need. Each list is curated to reflect our current priorities, ranging from daily household essentials to specific supplies for our resident programs. By ordering through these links, your donations are shipped straight to our facility, ensuring your gift arrives exactly where it is needed. This is a seamless way to make an immediate impact on the lives of those we serve.

Why don’t we accept used items?

Isn’t something better than nothing?

We are deeply grateful for the community’s desire to support our residents through clothing and linen donations. While we never want to seem ungrateful for the offer of used items, our policy to only accept new fabrics is rooted in two main priorities: stewardship and dignity. Logistically, the manpower required to sort, inspect, and properly sanitize used items often exceeds our team's capacity, given our other areas of focus, and the variables involved in used fabrics make it difficult to ensure a consistent standard of health and safety.

Beyond the logistics, we are committed to a fundamental shift in how we serve those in our care. We believe that someone restarting their life—often arriving with nothing—deserves the dignity of something brand-new, just like anyone else. Instead of providing items that are "good enough," we strive to give our residents something better than what we would even hope to receive for ourselves. By providing new items, we are honoring their journey and offering them the very best as they build a fresh start. We hope you can hear our heart in this policy as we work together to serve our neighbors with excellence.
