WRM
Our Mission
The Winchester Rescue Mission transforms lives by providing shelter, supportive services, and advocacy to improve and enhance the lives of the poor, powerless and persecuted, to reach their full potential through Christ.
If you or someone you know is in immediate need of emergency services, including food, clothing or shelter, please contact the Winchester Rescue Mission.
You are welcome here!
Case Management

Guests are cared for in a safe, supportive environment where they can find refuge and rest. Once their most basic and immediate needs are addressed, case managers work one-on-one with each individual to identify next steps, including healthcare and treatment options with a goal of helping them change unhealthy patterns of behavior.
Emergency Shelter
Providing temporary shelter is one the Rescue Mission is most known for. By meeting these most basic and immediate needs, we provide hope for not only today but for the future in an environment that reflects the love of God in tangible ways.
Each night, men and women find a warm bed and safety from the streets at the WRM. Our men’s shelter can sleep up to 32 men while our current women’s shelter, the Stone House, can sleep up to six ladies. The Mission is currently in the process of expanding and opening a new women’s shelter where up to 15 ladies will be able to find shelter.
Food Distribution
We partner with the local food bank, as well as grocers, stores and other businesses who donate baked goods, meats, fresh produce and other food items. The food distribution is open to anyone in the community currently needing food for themselves and their families.
The WRM hosts a community Food Distribution at the Men’s Shelter Monday – Friday at 10AM. Individuals should arrive at 930AM as often the distribution starts before 10AM.
Hygiene Services

Restrooms, hot showers and personal hygiene supplies as well as laundry facilities are available to all of our guests.
The Winchester Rescue Mission’s shower and laundry facilities are also open to the community. Men can use these services Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30AM to 1:30PM. Women seeking to use these services should contact the Mission to schedule a time to do so at our Ladies Shelter.
Due to COVID19, COMMUNITY HYGEINE SERVICES ARE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
Community Meals

Community Lunch is served at the Winchester Rescue Mission Monday-Friday 11:00AM – 11:30AM.
